Transfer Programs

Moraine Valley truly does offer something for everyone! Check out our different programs to see what's right for you.

Transfer Programs
Moraine Valley offers Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.), Associate in Fine Arts (A.F.A.), and Associate in Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.) degrees, which allow you to transfer to a four-year college or university at the junior level. Our degrees include the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) General Education Core Curriculum. We also can provide you with an Educational Planning Guide, Transfer Guides, and transfer planning tips to clarify the process.

If you are already attending a four-year college or university, you might want to talk with an advisor at your current institution about completing courses at Moraine Valley and transferring them back to your home college. Hundreds of students do it every summer. It's a great way to get ahead or make up classes, as well as save money.

Noncredit Courses for Personal Interest or Career Advancement
In addition to credit classes, Moraine Valley offers noncredit courses for individuals who would like to learn specific skills but aren't interested in earning college credit. The noncredit course offerings are listed in each semester's class schedule. It is mailed to all residences within the district prior to the start of each semester—generally in April for summer term classes, in July for fall semester classes, and in December for spring semester classes. For more information on non-credit courses, contact Workforce Development and Community Services.
