We're thrilled to offer an exciting new
option for learning—welcome to Moraine Valley’s Honors Program!
At
Moraine Valley, we know that you don’t want honors if it simply means
adding on more projects to existing courses. You know it’s not the “more”
that counts—it’s the “how.” It’s the way that courses
are put together that makes all the difference.
How
will your honors courses at Moraine Valley be
different from traditional courses? Imagine creating and conducting your
own experiments for biology class or learning about history by meeting
people who write it. Imagine studying photography and creative writing
side by side—even putting on a special art exhibit for the public—to
explore ways that visual and verbal connect.
The Honors
Program at Moraine Valley is all about hands-on, experiential learning. It’s about
taking courses with peers who are as passionate about the subject—and
learning—as you are. It’s about exploring connections between ideas
and disciplines, forging friendships and relationships with
students and faculty, so you can begin building the skills and
credentials you’ll need to excel in the future as you pursue a
bachelor's degree. It's about seizing the days, the hours, the minutes of your
education—and making the most of them.
